FAQ
After undergoing multiple refinements, Kavero™ MSMK cookware is proud to assure you of its durability, designed to last for 20 years, with meticulous attention given to every detail.
It is not recommended. The temperature of a campfire can reach over 1504°F, while the sintering temperature for our non-stick coatings is 700°F. Exceeding this temperature will cause the coating to melt. If you must use a non-stick pan over a campfire, it's best to choose a low to medium heat setting, and try to avoid placing the pan directly over the flames. You could also consider using larger stones or coal blocks for indirect heating to minimize damage to the non-stick coating.
You may be able to use it on a home grill, as the temperature range for most home grills is between 392 °F and 572 °F, which is below the pan's maximum heat resistance of 700°F. However, it may not be suitable for some commercial-grade grills. If you plan to use it on a grill, please make sure you are aware of the grill's temperature capabilities.
Before using your new pan for the first time, it's important to rinse it with warm water and thoroughly dry it using a towel or cloth to remove any dust or chemical residues from the manufacturing process. But for a nonstick pan, there is no need to be seasoned, a nonstick pan is born to be non-stick, the water-based coating on this pan is more scratch-resistant than other coatings, enhancing its durability. Just like with cast iron pans, as long as the surface isn't scratched or severely worn, the pan can continue to be used indefinitely.
No, you should not use metal utensils. All coatings become softer as the temperature increases, so metal spatulas can scratch the non-stick coating under high temperatures, causing it to lose its non-stick properties and potentially release harmful substances. Metal forks are definitely not suitable because their tips are too sharp. It is recommended to use non-metallic kitchen tools such as wooden or plastic products, silicone, or rubber utensils to protect the non-stick coating and extend the lifespan of your cookware.
Hardwood spatulas and silicone utensil are recommended
It is not recommeded. Nonstick cooking sprays aren’t just oil in a spray bottle; they typically contain at least one type of oil plus an emulsifier, such as lecithin. Lecithin causes problems for nonstick cookware. It leaves a sticky residue behind and can adhere to your pan and build over time, ultimately impeding the abilities of the nonstick coating. Once your nonstick pan has a sticky residue, it is incredibly hard to get off. People often scrub their nonstick pans with abrasive or scrubby sponges in an effort to remove it. This is a sure way to scratch or otherwise wear down your nonstick coating, ruining it completely.
yes, definitely.
Generally speaking, no. The coatings do not contain harmful substances such as PFOA, PFOS, PFBS, GENX, or APEO. They meet the standards set by the FDA in the US, LFGB in Germany, and the EU regulations as well. However, aluminum, which is used as the base material for non-stick pans, can potentially release into food under certain conditions, particularly when cooking at high temperatures or with acidic ingredients. If the coating is worn down, it's important to replace the pan to avoid aluminum leaching into the body.
Yes, it is generally safe to clean non-stick pans with dish soap. Baking soda is an alternative used for dealing with stubborn grease or burnt-on food, but it is not necessary. Gently wiping with a mild dish soap and a soft sponge is usually sufficient to clean non-stick pans without scratching the coating. Remember to thoroughly rinse and dry the pan after cleaning to maintain its good condition.
Yes, the base material of most non-stick pans on the market, including all Kavero products, is aluminum.
The tempered glass lid is safe for use up to 352°F. It can be placed in the oven as long as the temperature is below this limit. Exceeding this temperature should be avoided to prevent the lid from cracking or getting damaged.
MSMK cookware can withstand temperatures up to 700℉. It is capable of handling most of the common cooking and baking temperatures required for household and oven use. Here are the cooking methods and their temperature ranges:
Frying: Frying food typically requires higher temperatures, generally between 350°F and 375°F.
Baking: The temperature for baking depends on the type of food and its thickness, with common baking temperatures ranging from 300°F to 450°F.
Cooking Meat: When cooking meat, oven temperatures are usually set higher to ensure thorough cooking and to reach safe internal temperatures for consumption. The specific temperatures depend on the type of meat and the desired level of doneness, generally ranging from 300°F to 450°F.
The handle is already attached to the pan body using 304 stainless steel double rivets. This type of connection is typically very secure and less prone to loosening, ensuring a solid bond between the handle and the body of the pan.
The design featuring a solid stainless steel induction base will not scratch glass stovetops, unlike designs with perforated induction bases, which can easily scratch expensive glass cooktops.
Yes, definitely.
Our pans feature a fully stainless steel induction base that is compatible with all types of stovetops, including glass stove tops.
Most users do not experience this issue. If your pan does spin, it is likely due to the pan's base warping caused by different metals in the base reacting to changes in temperature. When the pan is heated to a high temperature and then suddenly cooled, the different rates of heating and cooling can occasionally cause the bottom of the pan to warp inward or outward, which might lead to the spinning issue.
No, it does not scratch or chip easily. This is due to our unique manufacturing process where, before applying the coating, we use a sandblasting technique to roughen the surface of the pan. This process, not typically found in standard non-stick pans, greatly enhances the adhesion of the coating, making it much more durable. We have rigorously tested this by boiling the entire non-stick pan in a saltwater for 7 hours. When removed, the pan showed no signs of peeling, unlike regular non-stick pans which can peel easily.
Definitely No
We designed MSMK cookware series to be acid-proof, so it's suitable for cooking dishes that contain acidic ingredients.
Yes, the handle is heat resistant. However, when using the pan in the oven, we recommend wearing oven mitts to handle the stainless steel grip safely.
Yes, this pan can be placed in the dishwasher, but please follo the tips below
Avoid Harsh Detergents: Choose mild detergents and avoid those with strong acidic or alkaline components to prevent damage to the non-stick coating.
Avoid High-Temperature Washes: Opt for low-temperature or gentle wash cycles. High temperatures can cause thermal damage to the non-stick coating.
Wash Separately: If possible, wash the non-stick pan separately in the dishwasher to avoid friction with other cookware or utensils, which could wear out the coating.
Regular Checks: After washing, regularly check the condition of the non-stick coating. If you notice any damage or wear, replace or cease using the pan promptly.
Overall, while most MSMK non-stick pans are dishwasher safe, to protect the non-stick coating and extend the lifespan of the pan, hand washing is recommended.
I would say medium weight.
The nonstick surface is composed of a three-layer nonstickwater-based coating material, which is eco friendly, durable, super nonstick and so easy to clean.
Kavero™ pans are designed in the US, utilize coating technology from Germany, and are manufactured in China.
